BUNNY IN THE MOVIE BUSINESS

This little bunny has been trying her movie making skills with family photos and short clips, think they are slowly getting better.

For my second last assignment, my group had to put together and pitch a campaign to Wotif about rebranding their image for a younger audience. For the actual pitch it was my role to complete a entertaining video about who our target audience was and their worst travel experience. This went along with our campaign slogan "Don't be that guy", suggesting that the consumer talk to Wotif to prevent the wrong unforgettable travel experience. Below is the video that was created.

THEME PARK BUNNY = BRAND ME

While eating a carrot the other day, this little bunny realised that this being a blog about what it takes to get into the field of advertising should include personal work.

I attend QUT and have completed assignments for units with serval real world clients, so I have decided to post some of my more special pieces on here. One unit in particular pushed the idea of Brand Me, and how I had to become the preferred brand against someone else in the advertising industry. This was the assignment that created the need for this blog.

This unit was advertising management where the report was to complete an situation analysis of the industry and the dream market we wish to work for. The current problem within that market, the objectives for Brand Me and the brand promise. My dream market is theme parks, with this report focusing on Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Disney Interactive Studios, and Universal Park & Resorts.

Below is my assignment, would have just attached it but only pictures can be.

PULLS A BUNNY OUT OF A MAGIC HAT

This bunny has been living inside a magic hat for the past three months. Sleeping beside a stack of puzzle pieces, running through piles of paper work and watching fireworks in the sky. Then was suddenly grabbed and pulled out to live in a whole new world, and is now feeling completely lost.

Living in two different worlds gets complicated when both need to be dominate at the same time. One seems to disappear for months and come out the other side empty. Do you give in to the one that pays the bills or the reason you are living, away from home, in Brisbane. Is there even time or me?

My first world is work, more work and stressing about work. I have two jobs at the moment, the first being a Subway Sandwich Artist and the second a Student Ambassador at QUT. For ages I have been getting a small about of shifts, which made it easier to juggle both worlds, but one event each year throws everything upside down..... BRISBANE RIVERIRE. 10 hour shifts, midnight finishes and 2am starts, in a nut shell simply crazy.

Across the universe in a different solar system is my other world. Uni on fridays, group meetings and updates anytime I am available. This is the future I want, and normally can handle. Meetings with lectures and redeveloping the current campaign several times until we come up we a USP that can only be used for that company. I also have work experience every wednesday at Softball Queensland.

But as soon as this month started everything is over. I am back down to a few work shifts and lots of time for uni and quite empty. I dont know if i prefer the months flying or this emptiness.  I have time for my pile of books and tv shows that I have pushed aside.

But now that both worlds have collied and the rubble has settled this bunny apologise, to her invisible audience, for doing an disappearing act, but she is now back.
